Ernsdorf is a district of the market Prien am Chiemsee in the district of Rosenheim .

history

At the site of today's Ernsdorf, a settlement is documented as Errattesdorf around 963. Later known names are Ernstorf (1184/1186), Ernndorf (1528), Ernnstorff (1554) and Ehernstorf (1811). This means that the Ernsdorf district is significantly older than the Prien market itself, which refers to the document from 1158.

The name probably comes from the personal name Ernust (Ernst).

In the slightly elevated district to the southeast of the town center, some of the older farms and houses can still be found today, such as the estates (the last common names are given, along with earlier mentions):

• Schwarz : 15th century Weusl , 1544 Weißenlehen
• Hiendl : probably 14th century
• Schneider : 16./17. Century Griggl or Grieckhl
• Binder : 16./17. Century Kessllehen or Kheschlehen , 1625 Wolfhaimetl , then Kaetan
• Gröbner : proven at the end of the 15th century, today's courtyard built in 1792 according to the date on the First tree
• Regerl : Evidence at the end of the 15th century, today's courtyard is a new bar because the original courtyard fell victim to a fire in 1895
• Mayer : Partial property from around 1500 one of the original courtyards in Ernsdorf
• Saltner : Belonged to Frauenchiemsee Abbey from around 1434 , today's farm dates from 1802
• Roth : Forest fiefs until the end of the 17th century
