Vachendorf is a village in the municipality of the market Prien am Chiemsee in the district of Rosenheim ( Bavaria ) with around 55 inhabitants. Vachendorf is centrally located between the larger towns of Prien am Chiemsee, Bernau am Chiemsee , Frasdorf and Aschau im Chiemgau . Due to its proximity to Chiemsee , Wildenwart Castle and a nature reserve, it is popular as a hiking point in the region.

The name Vachendorf is of Celtic origin. Numerous traces in the vicinity of Vachendorf point to a Roman road that ran along the Prien river.
