Ernst Franz Adolf Strömer

Ernst Franz Adolf Strömer , also Ernst Franz Adolph Strömer , Ernst Adolf Eduard Strömer (born October 1, 1806 in Rostock ; † April 6, 1883 ibid) was a German lawyer and member of parliament.

Life

Ernst Franz Adolf Strömer was a son of the businessman Peter Strömer. The Rostock Senator Theodor Johann Friedrich Strömer (1796-1854) was his older brother. From Easter 1825 he studied law at the University of Rostock .

After his exams he practiced as a lawyer and notary in Rostock.

In the spring of the revolutionary year of 1848 , Strömer was a founding member of the Reform Association in Rostock. He was one of the representatives of Mecklenburg in the Frankfurt pre-parliament , which was supposed to prepare the election of the Frankfurt National Assembly. To this end it worked closely with the Bundestag of the German Confederation . The assembly met from March 31 to April 3, 1848 in the Paulskirche in Frankfurt .

In 1861, Grand Duke Friedrich Franz II appointed him secretary of the General Mecklenburg-Schwerin State Receptur-Direction (the tax authority for Mecklenburg-Schwerin ) and the main stamp depot calculator at the suggestion of the state parliament . His retirement took place at Christmas 1879.

Strömer was a Freemason and in 1841 secretary of the Prometheus Lodge in Rostock.

Since 1838 he was married to Doris, b. Engelbrecht (* 1812).
