Ernst Frietsch

Ernst Frietsch (born October 2, 1905 in Rastatt ; † February 22, 2001 in Rastatt ) was a German mechanical engineer and professor .

Life

After graduating from high school, Ernst Frietsch studied mechanical engineering at the TH Karlsruhe and became a member of the Germania fraternity (now Teutonia ). In 1932 he completed his diploma examination and initially worked for two years at Wilhelm Spannhake's Institute of Fluid Dynamics . In 1937 he earned his doctorate engineer about turbulence and forces effect on circulating Kreiselradschaufeln .

From 1934 to 1942 Frietsch worked in construction , research and development and in the energy industry in various areas of the machine industry. He then joined the teaching staff at the State Engineering School in Karlsruhe . He was represented in the mechanical engineering department for the subjects thermodynamics , internal combustion engines and energy management.

In 1955 he was honored by being awarded the title of professor . Two years later he took over the management of the mechanical engineering department. Among other things, he was committed to the constant modernization of teaching. In 1971 he retired, but continued teaching.
