Ernst Horn (student functionary)

Ernst Horn (born March 15, 1905 in Neumarkt in Silesia , † April 20, 1945 near Neupetershain ) was a German National Socialist and SA leader. He was the deputy Reich student leader.

Life

After attending school, Horn completed an apprenticeship as a banker . He then studied law , political science and economics . In 1930 he joined the National Socialist German Workers' Party and the Sturmabteilung (SA). The main focus of his work in the Nazi movement was his involvement in the German Student Union (DSt.): In 1933 and 1934 he worked as District Leader I in the DSt. He then acted as District Leader East Germany of the DSt until 1936 and as Gaustudentenführer in East Prussia. In 1936 Horn was appointed staff leader of the Reichsstudentenführung and permanent representative of the Reichsstudentenführer Gustav Adolf Scheel . In 1937 he also took over the leadership of the Reichsstudentenführung. In the SA he reached his highest rank when he was promoted to SA Brigade Leader on November 9, 1942. In the Reichstag election in 1938 he ran unsuccessfully for a seat in the Reichstag (National Socialist period) . From 1939 to 1945 Horn took as a soldier of the Wehrmacht at the World War II in part, most recently with the rank of lieutenant . He died in fighting (?) In Brandenburg just before the end of the war .
