Ernst Hundt the Younger

Ernst Hundt (born September 10, 1877 in Calbe , † April 27, 1945 in Berlin ) was a German lawyer in church service.

Life

Hundt was the son of pastor Ernst Hundt the Elder. Ä. and his second wife Julia Riese . He studied law at the Friedrichs University and in 1897 became a member of the Corps Neoborussia Halle . In 1905 he became Konsistorialassessor, in 1912 Konsistorialrat in Magdeburg . From 1916 to 1934 he was a walker. Consistorial councilor and member of the Old Prussian Evangelical Upper Church Council , of which he became secular vice-president in 1929. In 1933 he became deputy head of the German Evangelical Church . Retired in 1934 as a ministerial director , he became canon in Merseburg and Naumburg (Saale) in 1936 . In 1938 he became managing director of the working groups of the Reich Church Minister , in 1939 managing director of the Spiritual Trust Council in the Church Struggle . The theological faculty of the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Berlin awarded him an honorary doctorate D. theol on February 24, 1926 . hc He put an end to his life eleven days before the Wehrmacht surrendered .
