Ernst Iffland

Ernst Adolph Friedrich Iffland (born June 30, 1820 in Hanover ; † May 10, 1904 in Bückeburg ) was a politician and head of cabinet in the state of Schaumburg-Lippe .

Ernst Iffland was the son of the tax council Ernst Iffland (1789–1873) and grandson of the mayor of Hanover Christian Philipp Iffland . After attending school in Hanover, he studied law at the University of Göttingen and became a member of the Corps Hannovera . He later graduated from the University of Berlin. He then began to gain practical professional experience as an auditor in Stadthagen and Hanover and became an assessor in Northeim in 1846 , later in Ruthe . In 1847 he gained experience as a laborer in the Ministry of the Interior of the Kingdom of Hanover and was then entrusted with management responsibility as mayor in Northeim in 1849. In 1853 he became chamber councilor, in 1868 chamber director and in 1880 chamber president of the court chamber of Bückeburg. Under Prince Adolf I. Georg von Schaumburg-Lippe , he became the Real Privy Councilor and Head of Government of the Princely Schaumburg-Lippischen Cabinet in Bückeburg with the predicate of excellence in 1885 .
