Ernst Jäger (musician, 1913)
Alois Ernst Jäger (born June 17, 1913 in Thürmitz, today Trmice , † January 2, 1975 in Munich ) was a Czechoslovak-German jazz and entertainment musician (orchestra leader, composer).
Act
Jäger, son of the conductor Ernst Jäger , received training in composition. He founded his first combo in Karlsbad . From 1938 he directed larger orchestras in Prague and Reichenberg, with whom he also went on tour in Germany. Due to the world war, his career was interrupted. In 1946 he again led a dance orchestra that became known through recordings for Radio Munich . With a diverse repertoire he was able to keep the orchestra; so he played with him in films and was known as the "King of Munich Carnival". He composed the music for films such as Ehe für eine Nacht (1952) or The Organ Builder of St. Marien (1961). Musicians like Max Greger , Helmuth Brandenburg and Ernst Brandner belonged to his band . Albums like Tanzparty - well mixed or musical world successes and singles like the FC Bayern Lied , There is a Hofbräuhaus in Munich and the 1860 Lied was also created for the Tempo label .
Jäger was awarded the Golden Trombone and the Golden Conductor's Staff.
