Ernst Kräuter (born March 13, 1855 in Obertsrot , † June 3, 1915 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a file cutter and member of the Baden state parliament.
Ernst Kräuter was the son of a sawmill . After attending primary school, he learned the trade of file cutter and worked as a saw-file apprentice until 1890, and from 1878 in Freiburg. In 1890 he became self-employed and worked as a saw filer in Freiburg until 1912. From June 1912 until his death, Kräuter was a travel agent for the People's Watch in Freiburg.
He joined the SPD in 1888 , from 1890 to 1900 he was chairman of the SPD in Freiburg. In 1905 herbs were elected to the second chamber of the Baden state parliament. He exercised this mandate for two legislative terms until 1913. Between 1898 and 1907 he ran three unsuccessfully for the Reichstag .
Luise Kräuter , member of the Baden state parliament, was his daughter.
