Ernst Lamla
Ernst Lamla (born November 21, 1888 in Berlin , † October 11, 1986 in Göttingen ) was a German physicist and teacher.
Life
Lamla studied physics in Berlin with Max Planck , where he received his doctorate in 1912 with a dissertation on the hydrodynamics of the principle of relativity . After a short time as a research assistant at the Institute for Theoretical Physics at Berlin University, Lamla started teaching as a math and physics teacher. In 1933 he was dismissed for political reasons. In 1947 he moved to his teacher Max Planck in Göttingen, where he was entrusted with the management of the state grammar school , which was renamed the Max Planck grammar school on his initiative after the death of his teacher . In 1954, Lamla was retired.
After Arnold Eucken's death (1950), Lamla was editor of the journal Naturwissenschaften until 1966 .
