Ernst Münchmeyer (medic, 1778)
Ernst Heinrich Wilhelm Münchmeyer (born September 21, 1778 in Mellinghausen near Nienburg / Weser , district of Diepholz , Lower Saxony ; † June 29, 1851 in Lüneburg , Lower Saxony) was a general practitioner and a rural and urban physician . Münchmeyer came from the old Lower Saxon family Münchmeyer and was the son of pastor Conrad Münchmeyer (born April 6, 1733 in Einbeck; † November 16, 1811 in Lavelsloh) and Eva Sophie Schulze (* July 23, 1739 in Beckedorf; † February 27 1821 in Lüneburg ).
He married in his first marriage on October 6, 1803 in Rahden ( Lübbecke district , Westphalia ) Amalie Meyersiek (born August 11, 1786 in Rahden; † November 5, 1850 in Lüneburg), the daughter of the businessman Ludolf Meyersiek (1748-1804) and his second wife Karolina Baare (* 1769).
His son was Hermann Münchmeyer the Elder. Ä. (1815–1909), founder of the Hamburg trading company and private bank Münchmeyer & Co. and ancestor of the well-known Hamburg family branch.
Life
Münchmeyer was initially a general practitioner in Diepenau ( district of Nienburg / Weser ), in 1807 he became a rural physician at Gifhorn and in the same position after 1814 at Schöningen near Braunschweig . In 1824 he was the " Maigräfe " of the Lüneburg rifle guild .
From 1824 he was a doctor and city physician in Hanover and was later appointed Royal Hanoverian Secret Medical Council due to his services .
