Ernst Nölting

Ernst Nölting (born March 11, 1901 in Fürstenberg (Weser) , † September 29, 1967 in Isernhagen ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Nölting was born on March 11, 1901 as the son of a civil servant and the younger brother of the later North Rhine-Westphalian politician Erik Nölting . During the time of the Weimar Republic he was head of the State College for Economics and Administration in Berlin . After the National Socialists came to power, he was initially suspended in 1933 and finally dismissed from this office in 1937.

In 1945 Nölting was appointed head of Department V (Waterways Directorate) at the Oberpräsident of Hanover . Together with his brother he took part in the post-war discussions within the SPD and in 1946 was a member of the Hanoverian Landtag . After the formation of the state of Hanover , he was appointed Minister of Economics and Transport to the state government led by Prime Minister Hinrich Wilhelm Kopf on August 23, 1946 . On September 21, 1946, he resigned from this office, which Wilhelm Heile administered on a provisional basis in the following period.
