Ernst Pernoll

Ernst Pernoll (born November 27, 1902 in Wedel , † July 15, 1959 in St. Johann in Tirol ) was a German CDU politician .

Life and work

After attending elementary and middle school, Pernoll, who was of Protestant faith, completed a teachers' seminar. However, he did not work as a teacher, but switched to banking. For example, from 1924 to 1929 he worked as a securities dealer on the Berlin Stock Exchange . He then became managing director of the Central German Farmers' Union in the Altmark district . After a short freelance activity from 1933, he was department head at the Ilo works in Pinneberg from 1935 to 1939 . During the Second World War he served as a soldier, most recently as a lieutenant.

In 1946 Pernoll was involved in founding the Hamburg farmers' association , of which he later became the chief executive. In this capacity he was also editor of the newspaper Bauern und Gärtner . He was also a co-founder of the Hamburg Agriculture / Commercial Economy Working Group and a member of the board of the Hamburg SME bloc.

The Ernst-Pernoll-Strasse in Munster is named after him.

From 1953 to 1957 Pernoll belonged to the Hamburg parliament and from 1957 until his death to the German Bundestag . In the latter he represented the constituency of Harburg - Soltau .
