Ernst Peter Johann Spangenberg

Ernst Peter Johann Spangenberg (born August 6, 1784 in Göttingen , † February 18, 1833 in Celle ) was a German lawyer.

Life

Ernst Peter Johann Spangenberg was the second son of Professor Georg August Spangenberg and his wife Dorothea Catharina Elisabeth, née Wehrs (1756–1808).

Spangenberg attended high school in Göttingen, studied since 1803 as a student of Georg Friedrich Jacob champion at the University of Goettingen law and could this study in 1806 with a successful habilitation finish. 1806-1808 he was a private lecturer at the university. He then chose the civil service, was first from 1808 assessor at the tribunal court in Göttingen, from 1810 tribunal judge in Verden, in 1811 he was appointed "general advocate" at the imperial court in Hamburg ( Hamburg French period ). In 1814 his career as an "assessor" took him to the law firm in Celle, and in 1816 he was promoted to "court and chancellery advisor".

In 1824 Spangenberg was promoted to "Higher Appeal Judge" and in 1831 he was brought to Hanover as an assessor of the royal privy council . During the Westphalian rule he wrote several works on French law, such as B. 1808 the Institutiones juris civilis Napoleonei or 1810/11 commentary on the Code Napoléon .
