Ernst Ritter (Chief Bailiff)

Ernst Ritter (born July 22, 1858 in Onstmettingen , † March 14, 1944 in Stuttgart ) was a Württemberg chief bailiff.

life and work

Ernst Ritter was the son of a pastor. After graduating from the Heilbronn grammar school, he studied criminal sciences in Tübingen from 1877 to 1882 . After he had completed his trial service at the Tübingen regional office and with the government of the Black Forest District , he became city assistant at the Stuttgart city office and deputy head office manager at the Besigheim and Künzelsau regional offices. From 1885 to 1892 he worked as a clerk at the Oberamt Tübingen and from 1892 to 1896 as a collegiate assistant in the government of the Jagstkreis in Ellwangen. From 1896 he headed the Upper Office Nagold and from 1909 to 1919 the Upper Office Neckarsulm . In 1919 he retired.
