Ernst Schnaitmann (born January 29, 1915 , † May 1981 ) was a German football goalkeeper and football official.

Schnaitmann played in the 1935/36 season for the first time for VfB Stuttgart in the Gauliga Württemberg . In the following year he was Wuerttemberg champion with VfB and thus qualified for the final round of the German championship in 1937, in which they finished 3rd.

In 1938 and 1942, the VfB around Ernst Schnaitmann was again champion of the Württemberg Gauliga. However, there were no successes at the imperial level.

After the end of World War II, Schnaitmann and VfB President Fritz Walter were one of the protagonists who contributed to the establishment of the Oberliga Süd . He himself was a substitute goalkeeper behind Otto Schmid in the Swabian league squad until 1947/48 and played two league games.

Ernst Schnaitmann was subsequently chairman of the gaming committee at VfB Stuttgart and, from 1963, also became the fifth chairman of the club's board. After Fritz Walter was replaced at the top of the club by Hans Weitpert , Schnaitmann also lost his post, which he had to relinquish to Robert Schlienz in a fight vote .
