Hans Weitpert

Hans Weitpert (born August 15, 1905 in Munich , † March 28, 1993 in Stuttgart ) was a German publisher .

In the 1960s he was the publisher of the Jasmin magazine and main shareholder in the Maul - Nürnberg and Belser - Stuttgart gravure printing plants , which he sold to Bertelsmann in 1976 . He also owned Druckhaus Tempelhof GmbH-Berlin, book offset sheet printing and rotogravure printing ( Ullsteinhaus am Mariendorfer Damm 1–3), whose shares he acquired from Axel Springer AG in 1961 and which was closed in 1984 after bankruptcy . He held many honorary positions in Stuttgart, was senator of the Gutenberg Society in Mainz and honorary consul of Togo . Weitpert was appointed honorary president of the Federal Association of Printing and Media .

Between 1968 and 1975 Weitpert was President of VfB Stuttgart . Because of his dyed hair he was nicknamed "Lila Hans" or "Blaupinne" by the supporters of VfB Stuttgart. His successor as president was Gerhard Mayer-Vorfelder .
