Ernst Schoof

Ernst Schoof (born July 12, 1901 in Hamburg ; † September 16, 1984 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1967 to 1971 he was Second Vice President of the Schleswig-Holstein State Parliament.

Life and work

After high school at a secondary school graduated Schoof a degree in Law at the University of Königsberg , the Georg-August-University of Goettingen and the Christian Albrechts University of Kiel , which he with the first legal state exam ended. During his studies in 1923 he became a member of the Krusenrotter Kiel fraternity . After the subsequent legal clerkship , Schoof also passed the second state examination. He then settled in Heide as a lawyer in 1929 and was also appointed notary in 1937 . In 1942 he moved his law firm to Meldorf . Schoof was a specialist lawyer for tax law .

Ernst Schoof was a Protestant , married and had three children.

Political party

After the end of the Second World War, Schoof was one of the founding members of the CDU.

MP

From 1950 to 1971 he was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament . There he was from 1954 to 1971 chairman of the committee for electoral examinations and from 1960 to 1970 also chairman of the interior committee. Schoof was a member of the board of the CDU parliamentary group from 1963 to 1964 and was also its deputy chairman from 1967 to 1971. On November 29, 1967, he was elected second vice-president of the state parliament.

Ernst Schoof entered the state parliament as a directly elected member of the Süderdithmarschen - Meldorf constituency in 1950 and has always been a member of the Süderdithmarschen constituency since 1954.

Public offices

From February 23, 1955 to December 4, 1967, Schoof was Parliamentary Representative of the Interior Minister of Schleswig-Holstein.

Honors

On September 9, 1966, Schoof was awarded the Great Cross of Merit of the Federal Cross of Merit .
