Ernst Schreiner

Ernst Ludwig Schreiner (born March 9, 1879 in Herborn , Hessen-Nassau , † December 16, 1943 in Korntal ) was a German bookseller and writer .

Life

Ernst Schreiner was born as the son of the Herborn baker Reinhard Schreiner and his wife Emilie Weber. In the Württemberg town of Korntal he worked for the bookstore of the local Brethren Congregation and the Morgenstern publishing house, for which he published the magazine Der Morgenstern from 1921 to 1939 , a monthly to contemplate the prophetic word and to cultivate spiritual life . Schreiner wrote a large number of Protestant theological treatises that were marked by obvious enthusiasm for war in the early phase of the First World War .
