Ernst Stephann

Ernst Stephann (born April 23, 1847 in Tauschwitz ; † January 14, 1897 at Martinskirchen Castle , Liebenwerda district ) was the owner of the manor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Stephann attended grammar school in Torgau and studied natural sciences in Heidelberg and Berlin . He was a member of the Corps Rhenania Heidelberg and Marchia Berlin . In 1877 he took over the ownership of Martinskirchen Castle from his father Franz Theodor Stephann. He was a member of the district committee in the Liebenwerda district , district deputy and member of the Prussian House of Representatives from 1890 until his death. He took part in the Franco-German War in 1870/71 with the 1st Guard Dragoons Regiment.

From 1893 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Merseburg District 1 ( Liebenwerda , Torgau ) and the German Reich Party .
