Ernst Ulbrich (born January 30, 1915 in Vienna ; † December 5, 1974 there ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and federal railroad official. From 1965 to 1974 he was a member of the National Council .

Ulbrich attended five classes in the elementary school and after three classes in the community school he completed three classes in a further education school. He learned the profession of fitter and joined the railways in 1938. After the Second World War, he became secretary of the railway workers' union in 1947 and its central secretary in 1959.

Ulbrich joined the Revolutionary Socialists when the Social Democratic Party was banned and attended the SPÖ party school in Vienna in 1946 after the Second World War . He also graduated from the trade union school in 1948 and the social academy in 1949. In 1948 he became a councilor of the Vienna Chamber of Labor and in 1959 its vice-president. He was also chairman of the socialist faction of the railway workers' union and from November 3, 1965 until his death on December 5, 1974, a member of the National Council.

Ernst Ulbrich's grave is in the cemetery of the Simmering fire hall (Department ML, Group 28, Number 1G).
