Ernst Wehner

Ernst Gerhard Wehner (born December 1, 1894 in Rosbach ; † June 29, 1976 in Waldbröl ) was a German CDU local politician .

The trained master mechanic Ernst Wehner, who also ran an office machine shop in Siegen until 1939 , was mayor of the former independent municipality of Dattenfeld from 1948 to 1969 . After its dissolution, he was made an honorary citizen of the "old community" Dattenfeld in 1969. He also represented the interests of his home country for many years until 1969 as a member of the CDU in the district assembly of the Siegkreis .

Numerous honorary positions and functions, such as B. his many years of activity as church manager of the catholic parish Dattenfeld, lined his life path.

1965 awarded him the then German President Heinrich Luebke , the Federal Cross of Merit .

He was a member of the council of the 1969 new community of Windeck (from Dattenfeld, Herchen and Rosbach) for one legislative period until 1975 before he died in 1976.
