Ernst Theodor Georgsson Westerlund (born March 19, 1893 in Kimito , † October 13, 1961 in Helsinki ) was a Finnish sailor .
successes
Ernst Westerlund, who sailed for Merenkävijät , took part twice in the Olympic Games in the 6-meter class. At the Olympic Games in London in 1948 , he finished ninth as the Skipper of the Raili , before finishing third with the Ralia four years later in Helsinki . Together with his crew Ragnar Jansson , Paul Sjöberg , Adolf Account and Rolf Turkka , he secured the bronze medal behind the Americans led by Herman Whiton and the Norwegian boat led by Finn Ferner .
