Finn Christian Ferner (born March 10, 1920 in Oslo , † March 11, 2001 in Nesøya ) was a Norwegian sailor .

successes

Finn Furthermore, for the Kongelig Norsk Seilforening sailed, took in 1952 in Helsinki in the 6 meter class for the first time at the Olympic Games in part. He was the skipper of the Elisabeth X , which finished the regatta in second place. With 4648 total points, they placed behind the Olympic champions on the Llanoria from the United States around skipper Herman Whiton and ahead of the Finnish boat Ralia from skipper Ernst Westerlund . Furthermore, like his crew members Tor Arneberg , Carl Mortensen , Erik Heiberg and his brother Johan Ferner received the silver medal. In the 5.5-meter class he started in Rome in 1960 as the skipper of the Struten and took seventh place with her.
