Ernst Wiesinger

Ernst Wiesinger (born October 24, 1925 in Vienna - † September 19, 2015 ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ), fire department official and farmer.

Life

Wiesinger attended secondary school after primary school and then studied at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna , where he completed his studies with the academic degree Dipl.-Ing. completed. After completing his training, Wiesinger worked as a farmer.

He was involved as the deputy chairman of the district farmers' council for the Melk district. He was also a district chamber councilor and represented the ÖVP between June 2, 1965 and March 31, 1970 as a member of the Austrian National Council .

fire Department

Ernst Wiesinger joined the Melk volunteer fire brigade on April 30, 1951, where he was its commander for 22 years. During his tenure, the youth fire brigade was founded, the vehicle fleet was expanded and the fire station was built. The established partnership with the Herrieden volunteer fire brigade and the holding of the state fire brigade performance competition in 1987 in Melk are among his highlights.

From 1965 to 1970 he was a district fire brigade councilor and later for twenty years he was the commander of the Melk fire brigade section. From 1976 to 1985 he also held the position of deputy district fire brigade commander. His last rank was honorary fire advisor .
