Ernst Wilhelm Londicer (* 1655 in Reval ; † before November 9, 1697 ibid) was an Estonian painter.

Life

Londicer was a son of the Scottish commander of Reval Georg Londicer. He initially devoted himself to the scientific study of literature, but turned to the art that he learned in Germany and Holland. Page works showed a Dutch influence.

At the beginning of the 1680s it can be traced back to Reval. He received many commissions here and was appointed painter of the Estonian knighthood .

He died of the plague in autumn 1697 .

Londicer was married to Maria Helena, b. Pollack († 1710), a daughter of the goldsmith Peter Polack (1633–1702) and sister of the goldsmith Peter Wilhelm Polack († 1721).
