Ernst von Braunschweig (born July 3, 1845 in Moltow , Pomerania Province , † October 16, 1907 in Berlin ) was a German diplomat of the German Empire .

In 1874 he entered the foreign service of the German Reich. On May 25, 1881 he was appointed consul general in Sofia, where he had exequatur from August 17, 1881 to August 28, 1884 . From 1884 to April 11, 1886 he was the first envoy of the German Empire in Tehran . In 1886 he was given temporary retirement and in 1905 he was retired . From 1903 to 1907 he was chairman of the General German School Association .
