Ertuğrul Arslan (born January 26, 1980 in Sivas ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

Arslan started with club football in the youth of Kayserispor . In 1998 he moved to the third division and partner club of Kayserispor, to Melikgazi Belediyesi Erciyesspor . At this club he immediately won a regular place and kept it in his three years at this club. In the third division season 1999/00 , at the start of which the club changed its name to Hacilar Erciyesspor , the championship of the Türkiye 3rd Futbol Ligi was achieved and thus the first participation in the club's history in the Türkiye 2nd Futbol Ligi . After a year in this league, Arslan then moved to his old club Kayserispor in the summer of 2001.

After just one season at Kayserispor, Arslan was hired by league rivals Sivasspor , the club in his hometown of Sivas . Here, too, he made the jump into the starting line-up. In the second division season 2004/05 one reached the championship of the Türkiye 2. Futbol Ligi and thus the first participation in the club's history in the highest Turkish league, the Türkiye 1. Futbol Ligi . Promoted to this league, he was hardly taken into account by the new head coach Werner Lorant and was only used in one cup and one league match until the winter break. He then spent the second half of the season as a loan player at the second division side Bursaspor . Here, too, he reached the second division championship and thus promotion to the first division. At the end of the season he returned to Sivasspor, but was loaned out again in the second half, this time to Elazığspor .

In the summer of 2007 he finally left Sivasspor and moved to the second division team Antalyaspor . With this club he reached the runner-up in the 2nd league at the end of his first season in 2007/08 and was promoted to the Süper Lig for the third time in his career . After this promotion, Arslan also played in this league for two and a half seasons as a regular player. During the 2010/11 season he lost his regular place and switched to league rivals Konyaspor for the winter break . With this club he missed relegation at the end of the season and then played a second division season for this club.

In the summer of 2012 he moved to the TFF 2nd Lig for Balıkesirspor . With this club he reached the championship of the TFF 2nd Lig in the 2012/13 season and thus the promotion to the TFF 1st Lig . Immediately after promotion to the second division, the club managed to become runner-up and thus rose to the Süper Lig . Arslan had a large share in the rise, as he was used in 33 games. So it was the fourth promotion (each with four different clubs) to the Süper Lig in his football career.

In January 2016 he moved to third division club Kocaeli Birlikspor .
