society
Cabuto, who came from the youth division of Atlas Guadalajara , also signed his first contract as a professional footballer with the Guadalajara- based club . He made his debut in the Mexican Primera División in a game played on December 23, 1995 at Santos Laguna , which was won 1-0.
When the previous goalkeeper Oswaldo Sánchez left Club Atlas in the summer of 1996 and moved to the capital city club América , Cabuto was the new goalkeeper of the Atlatistas , for whom he played 216 league games in the following six years and received 333 goals. In Torneo Verano 99 , the second round tournament of the 1998/99 season , Atlas succeeded for the first time ever since the introduction of the Liguillas in the 1970/71 season to move into the championship finals, which were only lost on penalties against Deportivo Toluca . Cabuto was instrumental in this success and was voted goalkeeper of the year in Mexico after the end of the same tournament .
Before the 2002/03 season, Cabuto moved to the Querétaro Fútbol Club , which at the same time had secured membership of the first division by acquiring the license of the financially troubled CF La Piedad . When the Gallos Blancos fell victim to the reduction in participation from 20 to 18 teams in the future two years later, Cabuto switched to the Jaguares de Chiapas , where he was hardly used and only played six league games within two years. After Querétaro succeeded in returning to the first division before the 2006/07 season , Cabuto returned to his previous employer, but was only used here four times and ended at the end of the same season that the Gallos Blancos were relegated to the second division completed his active career.
