Erwin Harkener (born August 27, 1928 ) is a former German soccer player.

Career

Harkener played in the 1946/47 season for SV Rotthausen in the district class and then moved to Sportfreunde Katernberg , for whom he was in the Oberliga West , one of five seasons as the highest German division, until the end of the 1948/49 season . He made his debut on October 12, 1947 (5th matchday) in a 1-0 win in the away game against VfR Köln 04 rrh. , He scored his first goal on January 4, 1948 (11th matchday) in the 1: 2 defeat in the away game against Prussia Dellbrück with the goal to 1: 0 in the 20th minute. Due to relegation, he completed the following season in Group II of the 2nd Oberliga West . After the league return, Harkener completed 29 league games in 1950/51 when he reached the 12th rank at the side of teammates such as Heinz Kubsch , Helmut Rahn and Willi Vordenbäum, in which he scored seven goals for Sportfreunde.
