Erwin Kuffer (born September 16, 1943 in Luxembourg ) is a former Luxembourg football player .

Career

society

Kuffer grew up in Perl near the Belgian border. After his family had moved to Differdange due to better work and income opportunities in the Minett area , he joined the local club Red Boys Differdange at the age of 14 . At the age of 16 he was already used in the first team. In 1966 he left Differdange and became a professional at Olympique Lyon . With Lyon, he won the French Cup in 1967 .

In 1969 he moved to Belgium, where he won the Belgian championship in 1970 with Standard Liège . He then played with THOR Waterschei and Sporting Charleroi until 1973 . He then returned to his hometown club Red Boys Differdange, where he ended his playing career in 1975.

Following his playing career, he occasionally appeared as a coach at Koeppchen Wormeldingen and AS Remich .

National team

In the period from 1965 to 1970 Erwin Kuffer played 18 international matches for the Luxembourg national football team , in which he did not score.
