The FC Koeppchen Wormeldange is a Luxembourg football club from Wormeldange .
history
The association was founded in 1919. After the German occupation of Luxembourg in 1940, it was renamed FK Wormeldingen . In 1941 the club was banned and dissolved. In 1944 it was re-established as FC Koeppchen .
In the 1991/92 and 1994/95 seasons , the club played in the national division . In 1998, FC Koeppchen narrowly missed the final of the Luxembourg Football Cup with a 1: 2 in the semifinals against eventual cup winners CS Grevenmacher .
In 2012, FC Koeppchen rose from the honorary doctorate as bottom of the table . After six years in the third-class 1st division, they were promoted again with a 4-1 win in the barrage game against FF Norden 02 . On the third to last matchday of the following season , relegation from the honorary doctorate was certain after just one season.
