Erwin Schwentner

Erwin Schwentner (* 1945 in Hitzendorf near Graz ) is an Austrian ceramic artist.

Life and career

Erwin Schwentner is a judge by profession . He has been involved in artistic design since 1980 and prefers sculptures . With his specialization in ceramic objects (ceramic artist) he is primarily self-taught .

Schwentner counts himself in the direction of "postmodern ludity" ("new playfulness"). He sees his work as "paradoxical interventions" in the sense of psychotherapy.

In 1986 he was studying at the Austrian Cultural Institute in Rome . In 1997 a study trip to Taiwan followed (with the Yin-Jang artists' association), and joint work with Taiwanese artists, in 2007 in Peru, work with Peruvian artists and an exhibition in Cusco.
