Erwin Theodor Döbner
Erwin Theodor Döbner (born August 23, 1839 in Meiningen ; † August 15, 1892 ibid) was a German architect and construction clerk who was the court building officer of Saxony-Meiningen .
Döbner was born in Meiningen as the son of the well-known architect August Wilhelm Döbner . He graduated from high school in Meiningen . He studied in Berlin from 1857 to 1860 and completed the following legal traineeship in 1867 with the state examination for government builder ( Assessor ). Subsequently he was mainly involved in railway projects in Berlin and Szczecin . From 1871 he worked in his hometown Meiningen.

Döbner's buildings are stylistically predominantly historic . In addition to numerous city villas in Meiningen, he created the following structures:
- 1874–1883: Conversion and expansion of the Heldburg Fortress
- 1875: own house in Meiningen (under monument protection )
- 1878: Victory Column and memorial for the Meiningen fallen in the Franco-German War 1870/1871 in the English Garden of Meiningen
- 1880/1881: Parliament building in Meiningen
- 1882: Shelter on the Dolmar
- 1884/1885: Cemetery chapel in the Meiningen Park Cemetery (destroyed in 1945)
