Erwin Windegger

Erwin Windegger (born August 21, 1958 in Meran ) is an Italian German-speaking director, theater and musical actor from South Tyrol in Italy .

Life

Erwin Windegger grew up in Meran and moved to Vienna , Hanover and Bozen . Before his theater and musical appearances, he performed with numerous bands at home and abroad. He made his first stage experience in the theater in 1991 at the Merano City Theater . Soon after, he toured Germany , Austria and Switzerland as a freelance artist and appeared on the stages of the German Theater in Munich, in the Alte Oper Frankfurt, in the Cologne Musical Dome and in the Berlin Theater on Kurfürstendamm. He has made guest appearances at the Graz Opera, in Vienna at the Volksoper, the Raimund Theater, the Ronacher, the Akzent and the Metropol, at the Hanover State Opera, at the Kassel State Theater, at the Klagenfurt, Augsburg and Bozen City Theaters, and at the Baden stage the summer games in Bad Hersfeld, Feuchtwangen and Stockerau.

In 2004/05 Erwin Windegger directed the musicals Evita and Jesus Christ Superstar for the United Theaters in Bozen . In 2008 he played the role of a rock star in the 164th episode of the television series A Case for Two .

Windegger lives with his wife, the singer, choir director and actress Jessica Blume , and their two daughters in Bückeburg ( Germany ).
