The Espenschied Nunatak is an approximately 500 m high nunatak in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland . It is the westernmost of the Snow Nunatakkers on the English coast .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1961 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after Peter C. Espenschied, aurora researcher of the United States Antarctic Program at Byrd Station between 1960 and 1961.
