Esther Hoppe
Esther Hoppe (born March 4, 1978 in Zug ) is a Swiss violinist.

Esther Hoppe started playing the violin at the age of four . While attending the Cantonal School in Zug , she became a young student with Thomas Füri at the Basel Music Academy . At the age of 19 she was accepted into the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia and stayed in the USA until she graduated (Artist Diploma) in 2000. Her later teachers were Yfrah Neaman ( Guildhall School of Music and Drama London ), 2001–2003, and Nora Chastain ( Zurich University of the Arts ), 2005–2007.
Esther Hoppe won prizes at youth music competitions in Switzerland early on (1993, 1994, 1995). After further study prizes and youth development prizes, she won first prize at the 8th International Mozart Competition in Salzburg in 2002 . Soon after, she founded the Tecchler Trio , with which she celebrated international success, won various competitions (including 1st prize at the ARD International Music Competition ) and performed intensively until it was dissolved in 2011.
From 2009 to 2013 Esther Hoppe was first concertmaster of the renowned Munich Chamber Orchestra .
Esther Hoppe has been a violin professor at the Mozarteum Salzburg since 2013 . She also performs as a soloist with orchestras such as B. Zurich Chamber Orchestra , the Basel Chamber Orchestra , Basel Symphony Orchestra , Munich Chamber Orchestra , Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra , Salzburg Chamber Soloists, Orchester Les Siècles.
Esther Hoppe is regularly invited to renowned festivals, so in 2014 she was a guest at the Ittingen Whitsun Concerts, the Lockenhaus Chamber Music Festival, the Ernen Music Festival, the Delft Chamber Music Festival and the Menuhin Festival Gstaad.
