Estrella Morente , with full name Estrella de la Aurora Morente Carbonell (born August 14, 1980 in Las Gabias , Granada province , Spain ), is a flamenco singer . She is the daughter of the dancer Aurora Carbonell and the flamenco singer Enrique Morente .

Career

At the age of seven she began to sing with her father. She recorded her first music album Mi cante y un poema in 2001. That same year the second, Calle del aire , was released and received positive reviews. With her father as a producer, she recorded the third album Mujeres in 2006 . That year she sang flamenco for Penélope Cruz in the film Volver - Return . On December 14, 2001 she married the torero Javier Conde and now has two children.
