Sergio Dalma (2011)

Sergio Dalma (* 28. September 1964 in Sabadell as Josep Sergi Capdevila Querol ) is a Spanish pop singer . He has had six number one albums in the Spanish charts so far.

Career

Dalma, who sang regularly in Barcelona's nightclubs, released two moderately successful albums from 1989 onwards. He was selected to represent Spain at the 1991 Eurovision Song Contest in Rome. With his power ballad Bailar Pegados he achieved fourth place in the competition as well as the starting shot for his career. As of 2008, six of his albums reached the top of the Spanish album charts, including three albums entitled Via Dalma , which contain Spanish covers of Italian hits. The first work in this series was the most successful album in Spain in 2010 according to Billboard Magazine .

In 2012 Dalma was a member of the jury for the casting show El número uno .

In February 2019, Dalma signed a new recording deal with Sony Music .
