Cadillac (band)

Cadillac was a Spanish pop group that existed from 1981 to 1986.

The band was founded in 1981 in Madrid by José María Guzmán (vocals, guitar) and Eduardo Ramírez (vocals, bass). Pedro Sánchez (vocals, keyboards) and Javier de Juan (drums) joined them later. their first album, Pensando en tí , was released that year with moderate success.

Javier de Juan left the group in 1982 and was replaced by Daniel Jacques. Cadillac's second and third albums Llegas de madrugada and Un día mas appeared again with little success. As the new bass player Pepe Marchante came on because Ramírez had left. The 1985 album Funkyllac with the hit single Arturo was a success .

In 1986 they were selected by the TVE broadcaster to represent Spain at the 1986 Eurovision Song Contest in Bergen . With the pop song Valentino composed by Guzmán they reached tenth place.

Marchante left the band in 1986 which led to the complete breakup of the band that year.
