Pastora Soler
Pastora Soler , real name María del Pilar Sánchez Luque (born September 28, 1978 in Coria del Río , Andalusia , Spain ) is a flamenco - copla andaluza - pop singer .
Career
As a child she started to sing coplas and flamenco. She interpreted classical songs and worked with musicians like Carlos Jean . Her musical works and compositions are a mixture of flamenco and electronic music or pop music .
In 2010 the singer celebrated her fifteen-year stage anniversary. For the nine previous studio albums she received, among other things, one gold and two platinum awards. She worked with many pop-rock greats, also known in Germany, such as Alejandro Sanz , Malú , David Bisbal and David Bustamante .
At a festive television gala organized by the Spanish public broadcaster TVE in December 2011, the jury and television viewers selected Pastora Soler with the ballad "Quédate Conmigo" as a participant in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest . She came tenth in the competition in Baku .
