The trolley buses (trolley buses) of the type Etalon T12110 ( Ukrainian Еталон Т12110 ; as Caz T12100 designated / ЧАЗ Т12110 and nicknamed "Barwinok" (Барвінок, German "Evergreen")) are since 2012 in Tschernihiwskyj awtosawod (CAZ) in Chernihiv ( Ukraine ) built.

In 2010, ČAZ, which sells its products under the brand name "Etalon", and Belkommunmasch ( Minsk , Belarus ) signed an agreement for the license production of Belkommunmasch type BKM-321 trolleybuses at ČAZ. The first trolleybus from this cooperation was presented on April 12, 2011. After testing and approval, it was put into service under the number 482 at Chernihivske trolejbusne uprawlinnja, the operator of the trolleybuses in Chernihiv . In the further implementation of the cooperation, however, there were difficulties, so no buyer could be found for two more BKM-321s. The prices for the parts supplied by Belkommunmasch were too high for a competitive price for the trolleybus, so that in December 2012 ČAZ announced the termination of its cooperation with Belkommunmasch.

At the same time, ČAZ presented the prototype of its own trolleybus type. The in-house bus type Etalon 11110 was chosen as the body , the new type of trolleybus was given the designation "Etalon T12110". Belkommunmasch announced in January 2013 a lawsuit at the International Court of Justice because ČAZ had violated the license agreement and because Etalon T12110 was a pirated copy of the BKM-321. Furthermore, ČAZ is not entitled to manufacture trolleybuses up to five years after the end of the contract with Belkommunmasch.

The Etalon T12110 was tested in the Chernihiv trolleybus network from April to August 2013 and was then initially parked. After the approval of the type, the prototype was put into service together with another newly built copy in September 2014 at the trolleybus operation in Chernihiv. The prototype was given the number 485, the successor number 486.

In 2016, both T12110s were equipped with batteries that enable overhead line-independent operation for up to one kilometer. In 2016 ten more T12110s were built and also put into service in Chernihiv. They were given the following numbers 487 to 496. In 2017, another five T12110s with the numbers 497 to 501 were added.

In 2018, the procurement of T12110 began in other Ukrainian cities, two were delivered to Slovyansk and four to Sumy .
