Ulf Kleiner (born November 6, 1973 in Stuttgart ) is a German pianist, keyboardist, composer and producer in the fields of jazz , soul and electronics . He works in various live bands as a musician, musical director and studio musician as well as a lecturer for jazz piano at the University of Music in Mainz.

Live and act

Ulf Kleiner grew up in Bayreuth / Upper Franconia and, after graduating from high school, studied jazz piano with Achim Kaufmann and Christof Sänger at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. He has been a lecturer in jazz piano at the Mainz University of Music for over ten years .

In addition to the acoustic piano , Kleiner has committed himself to the Fender Rhodes Electric Piano and uses this expertise in live and studio productions. He plays u. a. with Jeff Cascaro , Frank Spaniol , Daniel Stelter, Fola Dada , DePhazz and worked a. a. with musicians and bands like Charlie Mariano , Till Brönner , Huun Huur Tu , Hr-Bigband , Paul van Dyk , Max Herre , Marcos Valle and Ian Pooley .

Ulf Kleiner is a producer or co-producer u. a. following releases: Jeff Cascaro ('The Other Man'), Daniel Stelter ('Homebrew Songs', 'Krikel Krakel' & 'Little Planets'), Spaniol4 ('The Trip'), Fola Dada ('Earth') and Jazzteam ( 'Red Light Soul'). In 2020 he released his first solo piano album, 'Pianoskop'.
