Fola Dada (* 27. October 1977 in Stuttgart , civic Folashade Dada ) is a German Pop - and Jazz - singer , composer , songwriter , voice teacher and university lecturer . She participates in numerous music projects and worked for several years as a voice trainer for the casting shows Deutschland sucht den Superstar und Supertalent .

Live and act

The daughter of a German and a Nigerian attended the New York City Dance School in Stuttgart at the age of 7, where she learned tap dance , jazz dance and stage performance over the years . The degree program in jazz and popular music with a major in singing she graduated in 2004 at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Mannheim as a diploma from singer. Subsequently, Dada himself taught at this university for two years. Today she is a lecturer at the State Academy for Young Musicians in Baden-Württemberg and at the Music Academies in Stuttgart , Freiburg and Nuremberg . Since 2011 she has been running a school for singing and speaking training in her hometown and is a member of the German Music Council .

Dada was and is active as a singer in various music groups and projects. In addition to her own band Dada , she runs a duo with the pianist Rainer Tempel , which has released two albums with art songs to texts by Edgar Allan Poe and Emily Dickinson . She also presented standards with the SWR Big Band . She also sings with Hattler (with Torsten de Winkel and Oli Rubow ), Bartmes , Silvio Dalla Brida , Christoph Neuhaus and the Soul Diamonds and features artists such as Söhne Mannheims and Joy Denalane .
