Ettore Maria Margadonna (born November 30, 1893 in Palena , Italy , † October 28, 1975 in Rome ) was an Italian screenwriter .

Life

After studying economics, Margadonna became a journalist for magazines such as Comoedia , L'illustrazione italiana and Avanti! . From 1937 he wrote screenplays and worked in the following years with Italian directors such as Mario Bonnard , Gennaro Righelli and Oreste Biancoli . For his story in the love comedy Bread, Love and Fantasy , he was nominated for Best Original Story at the 1955 Academy Awards . He was also awarded the Italian Nastro d'Argento film prize for Best Screenplay in 1952, together with Titina De Filippo and Renato Castellani .
