Eugen Göbel
Eugen Göbel (born September 20, 1875 ; † January 30, 1937 in Hamburg ) was a German architect and construction clerk . As a senior building officer in the Hamburg building administration under senior building director Fritz Schumacher , he designed numerous S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations, but also other public buildings in Hamburg and the surrounding area, in the period before and after the First World War. The 16 underground stations of the Walddörferbahn between Barmbek and Großhansdorf or Ohlstedt are considered to be his main work . Between 1924 and 1931, Göbel also led the execution of several Schumacher designs, including the Glasmoor prison , chapel 13 of the Ohlsdorf cemetery and the Fraenkelweg and Alter Teichweg schools.
