Eugene Geptin

Eugene Viktorovich Geptin ( Russian Евгений Викторович Гептин Yevgeny Viktorovich Geptin * 22. September 1982 in Äulieköl, Kazakh SSR ) is publisher and editor of the German-Russian-language monthly newspaper "Aussiedlerbote" ( "Переселенческий вестник" "Pereselencheskyi vestnik" ).

Career

Eugen Geptin was born in the village of Äulieköl (former Semiosernoe), Qostanai , Kazakhstan . In 1991 his family moved to Germany. From 2002 to 2003 he did his military service in the Lent barracks in Rotenburg (Wümme) . From 2003 to 2005 he worked as a drywall fitter.

Since 2006 he has been the publisher and editor-in-chief of the German-Russian-language monthly newspaper "Aussiedlerbote", whose mission, according to the online section "About us" on the newspaper's website, is to integrate and maintain the personal identity of ethnic Germans who Promote intercultural interaction and the spread of democratic values. The newspaper reports u. a. about political events in Germany and researched a. a. against Russian politicians.

Eugen Geptin is a member of the German Association of Journalists (DJV) and a member of the International Journalists' Federation (IJF) .

In March 2018, Eugen Geptin, together with the former advisor to the mayor of Yaroslavl and correspondent for the newspaper "Aussiedlerbote", Grigory Rodin, went to the Ukraine for an interview with the chairman of the regional state administration of Dnipro , Valentin Mihailovich Resnichenko ( Валентин Михайлевич Рікіеленович ) , on road. Grigory Rodin is a political refugee recognized by the German government and has lived in Germany since 2015. At the Polish-Ukrainian border crossing point Korczowa – Krakowez , Grigory Rodin, who was arrested by Russia for a criminal case politically motivated by Russia in which he was accused of embezzlement, was arrested for an extradition decision after Interpol applied for it. However, after 17 days of detention, the Przemyśl public prosecutor decided to release the ex-officer. In September 2018, Grigory Rodin was removed from the Interpol databases. In May 2018, Eugen Geptin was entered in the Ukrainian database of the “Peacemaker” ( Mirotworez ) center.
