Eugen Gopko (born January 5, 1991 in Kolchyno , Soviet Union ) is a German football player who is used in midfield .
career
In the club
Eugen Gopko played in the youth of the Ukraine for FK Mukachevo and FK Uzhgorod. A move to the youth department of Dynamo Kiev was not an option when he moved to Germany with his family in 2004. In 2006 he moved to 1. FSV Mainz 05 via the stations FSV Osthofen and TuS Neuhausen . There he was used in the U-17 and U-19 Bundesliga and was German champion with the A-Juniors in the 2008/09 season . In the 2009/10 season, in his last youth year, he played his first senior games. He first played for Mainz's second team in Regionalliga West and finally made his Bundesliga debut on October 3, 2009 in a 2-1 home win against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim , when he replaced Miroslav Karhan in the 57th minute . Gopko joined the regional soccer division Wormatia Worms in October 2012 . He scored his first goal in his 100th league game for Wormatia on September 13, 2017 in the 1: 2 defeat against Kickers Offenbach .
In the national team
Shortly after his first Bundesliga game, Gopko was appointed to a DFB team , the U-19 , for the first time . For this he made his debut on November 18, 2009 in a friendly against Scotland.
