Eugene Wollfarth

Eugen Wollfarth (born September 9, 1958 in Karlsruhe ) is a German diplomat who was Head of the German Liaison Office in Kosovo from 2005 to 2007 and as Ambassador Head of the OSCE Mission in Albania from 2010 to 2013 and has been Ambassador to Kuwait since 2013 .

Life

After graduating from high school, Wollfarth completed his military service in the German Armed Forces between 1977 and 1978 and then began studying industrial engineering in 1979 , which he graduated with a diploma in 1986. Afterwards he began the preparatory service for the higher foreign service in 1986 and joined the Foreign Office after its graduation in 1988 . After a subsequent assignment at the embassy in Colombia and between 1991 and 1992 at the embassy in Serbia , he worked at the headquarters of the Foreign Office from 1992 to 1995, before he was head of the economic service at the embassy in Chile from 1995 to 1999 .

Afterwards, Wollfarth worked at the embassy in the USA between 1999 and 2001 and then, after a renewed assignment at the Foreign Office in Berlin, headed the German liaison office in Kosovo between 2005 and 2007 . He then worked again at the headquarters of the Foreign Office in Berlin from 2007 to 2010 and as Ambassador Head of the OSCE Mission in Albania based in Tirana from 2010 to 2013 .

In July 2013, Wollfarth became Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kuwait, successor to Frank Marcus Mann , who had retired.
