Eugen von Bamberger

Eugen Bamberger , until 1919 von Bamberger (born September 5, 1858 in Würzburg , † October 4, 1921 in Grafenmühl, St. Anton an der Jeßnitz ) was an Austrian internist . With the French neurologist Pierre Marie , he gave the name to the Marie Bamberger Syndrome .

Life

Bamberger studied in Würzburg and Vienna and received his doctorate there in 1882. He then worked as an assistant to Carl Wilhelm Hermann Nothnagel (1841–1905) at the Vienna General Hospital , where he was soon recognized as one of the best diagnosticians. From 1891 he headed a department of the Rudolfstiftung Hospital .

He was the son of the Austrian pathologist Heinrich von Bamberger , the painter Gustav Bamberger is his brother.
